About Me

I am a passionate English professor who specializes in college composition, rhetorical studies, existentialist philosophy, critical theory, and pedagogy. While I thoroughly enjoy teaching at 4-year universities, I have a particular enthusiasm for teaching at community colleges, where I got my own post-secondary start. I earned my A.A. degree as an Honors Program Fellow from Cuyahoga Community College, my B.A. in English with a minor in Philosophy, and my M.A. in English from John Carroll University. I actively work on my own research and have essays under review at peer-reviewed journals, and I share my writing and revision experiences, habits, and even struggles with my students so they see writing not only as a process but as an opportunity for continual, lifelong growth.

When I’m not teaching and supporting student success, I can be found reading, writing, gardening, gaming, traveling, and spending time with my close friends and family.
